White Peppercorn

Along with salt, pepper is one of the oldest and best-known spices. White peppercorns come from the same plant as black, but the thin wrinkled skin of the fruit is removed from the seed. With a sharp, straight flavor, they are commonly used in cream sauces or other applications where flecks of black pepper are not desired.
