This crazy delicious pull-apart bread features melted cheese and perfectly seasoned meat in every bite! Sliced bread, leftover meats, and the complex flavors of Fiesta Taco Seasoning make this mouthwatering bread perfect for tailgating or outdoor parties and is a filling entree when accompanied by salad.
Ingredients
-
½ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil (or ½ cup butter melted)
-
2 Tbsp. Fiesta Taco Seasoning
- 1 large French-style baguette or Italian-style loaf of bread
- 2 cups finely chopped cooked beef, chicken, or pork (use food processor)
- 1- 2 cups quick melting cheese, chopped (fontina, soft cheddar [Velveeta], or goat cheese work well)
- Fresh thyme sprigs (optional)
Directions
- PREHEAT oven to 400°F.
- COMBINE Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 1 tsp. Fiesta Taco Seasoning; let the flavors bloom while you prepare your baguette.
- CUT into your baguette on the diagonal, about ½-inch apart, but not all the way through (or just make one long cut down the center). Brush inside each cut with the infused oil.
- COMBINE the meat, cheese, and remaining Fiesta Taco Seasoning, then stuff into each cut.
- BRUSH any remaining Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil over the top and lay fresh thyme over each cut.
- WRAP in foil leaving top exposed. Bake for 8-10 mins. or until cheese is melted and bread is crusty.
