A crowd-pleasing side to any meal, these quick biscuits are tender, buttery, and full of flavor. Finished with a generous brush of sweet and savory melted butter, you may want to double the amount so there is extra for dipping!
Ingredients
- 2 cups biscuit mix
-
2 Tbsp Beer Powder
-
1 Tbsp Cheddar Cheese Powder
-
3 tsp Vik's Garlic Fix! Spice Blend, divided
-
2 tsp Sweet Onion Sugar, divided
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450ºF. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl add biscuit mix, beer powder, cheese powder, 2 teaspoons spice blend, and 1 teaspoon sugar; stir to combine. Add buttermilk and shredded cheese; gently stir just until a soft dough forms – do not overwork.
- In large spoonfuls (about 2½ to 3 Tablespoons each) portion dough on the prepared baking sheet, evenly spaced. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
- While biscuits are baking, in a small bowl heat butter with remaining spice blend and sugar, 1 teaspoon each. Stir until fully melted. Cover to keep warm.
- Brush hot biscuits with seasoned melted butter. Serve warm.
