Cumin Recall for Peanut Allergen – Does Not Affect TSTE® Products
There has been a cumin recall affecting numerous spice companies due to undeclared peanut proteins (one of the eight major food allergens). See http://www.fda.gov/food/recallsoutbreaksemergencies/safetyalertsadvisories/ucm434274.htm for more information. While several spice companies on the market were affected, TSTE® cumin has tested negative for peanut proteins. Precautionary testing will continue until the matter subsides.
